Across the North East, people are coming together with a shared determination: to build communities where everyone feels safe, valued, and able to belong. Our pledge is a collective commitment – a promise made by individuals and organisations who refuse to look away from racism, who want change that is real and felt, and who believe our region can be better when we stand together.

The pledge will launch in early 2026, but before we finalise it, we want your voice. The name of the pledge should reflect who we are as a movement and what we aspire to build, so we’re inviting the region to help us choose.
